@ nat - I think mimes and clowns creep most people out. Me included. Which is why I decided to do a blog on mimes, you know, to work through my mime issues. I think its worked!

Ugh, I hate mimes. Only movie with a mime I ever enjoyed was Mel Brookes “Silent Movie”. That’s not entirely true. I laugh hysterically anytime someone in a movie punches a mime.

I remember the commercials for Mummenschanz. They were all over NYC after school TV. At the time I recall thinking the pad of papers eyes bit was brilliant. I got a big kick out of there appearance on the Muppets (or did I just imagine that?)

I guess we have Mummenschanz and the mime movement of 70s to thank for today’s Blue Man Group.
