Every week deserves its own soundtrack. And I had an especially eventful week. A new domain, a new blog, and an interview on KUOW. My soundtrack for the week? Slade.

Slade - Get Yer Boots On
After my post on the Bay City Rollers, my husband was rather horrified by my lapse in musical judgment and made it his personal mission to introduce me to some real British rock music. And presto! We suddenly own two Slade albums: Get Yer Boots On: The Best of Slade and In for a Penny: Raves & Faves.

And what can I say - I’m loving Slade! I’ve listened to both albums non-stop for the past two days and I’m hooked. I couldn’t have picked a better soundtrack for my week.But there is one thing that really bothers me about Slade. What’s the deal with the misspellings? Coz I love You? Look Wot You Dun? Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me? Cum on Feel the Noize? To someone with an English major proofreader copywriter editor communications background - it’s like fingernails on the chalkboard!
