I Hate Love Songs
I have the winter blues. After a few months of windy weather, flooding, and gray skies, I’ve gotten more than a little stir crazy from being cooped up inside.
So I decided that it was high time I got my butt out of the house. This afternoon I went outside for a little Abbacize (which is similar to Zeppercize but involves listening to Abba whilst power walking). I trotted on over to my local library and, as fate would have it, I happened upon the Donny Osmond album Love Songs of the ’70s.

The album is a collection of popular romantic ballads from the seventies, as sung by one-time teen idol Donny Osmond. Ever wondered what “I Can See Clearly Now” or “Sometimes When We Touch” would sound like with Donny at the microphone? Or how about “You are So Beautiful,” “How Deep is Your Love,” or the perennial favorite “Mandy?” Now you know.
I actually listened to the entire album. Now I really have a case of the winter blues.
